Ten years ago this weekend, general aviation was faced with an unprecedented challenge – first, how to get back in the air at all and then, how to cope with scores of new regulations as the government struggled to minimize the threat of future attacks. As president of AOPA, Phil Boyer was on the front lines of holding back the restrictions and preserving our freedom to fly.
