This week, AVweb’s news roundup found reports on the certification of a landing light system for the Boeing 737, a new hydraulic door system and the opening of an office for an aviation training management systems provider. Whelen Aerospace Technologies announced the certification of it BoomBeam High Intensity Discharge (HID) landing light system for the Boeing 737. Aircraft models included in the FAA STC are the 737-600, 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900 series.
Seneca Holdings brand Door Engineering has launched its Premier Door Hydraulic Door System for aviation applications. The single panel hydraulic door was on display at the 2019 NBAA convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week. Finally, Britannica Knowledge Systems, a company that provides training management systems to the aviation, security and defense, and corporate industries, opened its new office in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday. The company also has locations in Seattle, Washington and Chicago, Illinois.
