Today Joe Walker, president of Adam Aircraft, talks about progress at his company and with its A700 jet. Adam offered the first VLJ to fly on its production engines and the first to offer a functioning, separate lavatory. The A700 jet shares parts with the certified (with restrictions) Adam A500 piston-twin, which is also working toward expanding its flight envelope. That relationship is working to facilitate certification and may one day provide a natural (and more readily insurable) progression for aspiring light jet pilots.
