In the 1940s
Long after my mom passed away, I found this old Kodachrome 35mm slide in some of her stuff and scanned it. It was probably taken somewhere back east on a trip in the '40s.
Ed. Note: Thanks for sharing, Ron! We'd been saving this one for a second edition of vintage photos, but after ye olde editor spent the weekend scanning old photos with his own mom, well - it was impossible hold this one in reserve any longer.
This Is Why I Fly
Sunset over middle Tennessee.
Shot on a cell phone; no manipulations.
Guam Naval Base
Looking down on Apra Harbor, Guam. The airstrip was built by the Japanese during WWII for launching Zeros.

Venison and a Cub
Even white-tail deer cannot resist the charm of a Supercub. Feeding near a 1958 PA-18A, the deer seem quite at home.

Re-lit from dark original using ArcSoft MediaImpression Photo Viewer.
