Sunrise at EAA Seaplane Base - AirVenture 2011
Sunrise at the EAA's Willow Harbor Seaplane Base on Lake Winnebago during AirVenture 2011.
I Just Can't Get Enough!
A sunrise from the cockpit of an Embraer 190 from Azul Brazilian Airlines. The HUD gives a special touch to the scenario! It was a Sony camera, and there wasn't any kind of digital manipulation, only size reduction.
Final Approach
Taken from atop our hangar at KRYW (Lago Vista, Texas) with a Nikon F5. No Photoshopping or alteration.
Oh - Hello, Sunshine ...
A murky morning sky opened up to reveal one of the most spectacular sunrises over AVP airport.
Stearman on the Rockies
Rocky Mountain Air Show. My father learned to fly in a Stearman before moving on to B-24s and B-29s. Nikon D200, 300mm. Photoscaped for pixels and added contrast because of the air show smoke.
Reflections of Vintage Airplanes
North American Harvard Mk IV reflected in the canopy of a North American Mustang IV, both owned by Vintage Wings of Canada. Taken with a Canon EOS Rebel at the Atlantic Canada International Air Show in Summerside, PEI, Canada, on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
Grumman Duck
This is a black-and-white photo of a Grumman Duck. Taken with Kodak M753 at AirVenture. Only changed to black-and-white.
David Clarks and Blue Skies
Taken with Kodak EasyShare at Pease Air Show on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Panel is in a 1946 Stinson Gullwing V-77.
RV-9A
Rick Woodall's RV-9A waiting to participate in the Windsor Flying Club's Trophy Day. Using the articulated LCD on my camera to get a ground-level view. Cropped and resized.
Pilot in Command!
Our four-year-old got a little stick-and-rudder, er, stick time (short legs) in a Cessna 340 this summer over Puget Sound. No modifications to the image, as I recall.
"La Patrouille de France" at the Paris Air Show
The "Patrouille de France" (the French counterpart of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds) has been flying Alphajets for quite a few years. This was taken at the Paris Air Show on a cloudy day.
Sunset Over Palomar
For some reason, my Skycatcher makes hopping in and taking off to catch stunning sunsets like these so within reach. KCRQ is somewhere underneath the marine layer that's slinking in as I revel from 5,500 feet. This photo is straight from my iPhone 4, shooting in HDR mode, with PhotoWizard to sharpen it. (HDR mode takes three photos at once and combines them into a single photo.)
View from the Best Seat in the House
This picture was taken at FL 025 from my Cessna 400 (now Corvalis TT) over the Rockies between Bend, Oregon and Spearfish, South Dakota with my Canon D10. No PhotoShop needed. We watched the build-ups develop for miles. Awesome trip!
Waking Dragon
Sunrise on de Havilland Dragon Rapide at Goodwood Revival in the UK, September 2010. Taken with Panasonic DMC-G1. Resized to meet upload limits.
Targeting Bellevue
The view of Bellevue, Washington out the tail gunner's position of the Colling's Foundation's B-24J Liberator. Enhanced with Adobe Lightroom 2.
