Mountain Matt Circling Sulphur Creek Lodge Looking for a Break in the Fog
Our flight of two departed Johnson Creek on a breakfast mission. Widespread fog in the area completely obscured Sulphur Creek Lodge and their strip. Though dismayed at having to land on a paved strip, we diverted to McCall and scrounged up a hearty meal at the Pancake House.
Miss Mitchell at Volk Field, 2010
The B-25 Miss Mitchell makes a low-altitude "banana pass" during the 2010 Volk Field Air National Guard Base Open House and Fly-In. Miss Mitchell is owned by the Minnesota Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF)and is based at Fleming Field (SGS) in South Saint Paul.
