Daher announced on Monday that it has delivered its 80th TBM 960 single-engine turboprop. Introduced in April 2022, the model is the fifth addition to the company’s TBM 900 series aircraft family following the TBM 900, TBM 910, TBM 930 and TBM 940. Daher reports that it has delivered 488 TBM 900 series aircraft to date and 1,155 TBMs overall.
“Owners and operators praise the TBM 960’s outstanding flight experience and increased cabin comfort, as well as the enhanced efficiency and sustainability,” said Nicolas Chabbert, Daher Aircraft Division senior vice president. “It takes the maximum advantage of today’s technology to provide digital control for the engine and the propeller, extending into the digitally-controlled cabin.”
The TBM 960 has a top cruise speed of 330 knots, 1,730-NM range and maximum payload of 1,446 pounds. It is outfitted with the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6E-66XT engine and a five-blade composite propeller from Hartzell, both of which are linked to the aircraft’s dual-channel digital engine and propeller electronic control system (EPECS). Capable of seating up to six people, the TBM 960 comes equipped with the Garmin G3000 integrated flight deck.
