CubCrafters Offers Garmin G3X Glass in Cubs

The panel in one of CubCrafters Carbon Cubs has caused more than a few double takes by visitors at Sun n Fun. Instead of a few dials, its glass-and not just any glass, Garmins new G3X Touch flight display system. Referred to as Executive GLASS touch, it replaces the companys previous high-end panel with an integrated suite of Garmin instruments and is available in CubCrafters Carbon Cub SS, Carbon Cub EX and Sport Cub S2 aircraft. The new flight display system includes the GDU 465 10.6 high-resolution touchscreen display, GTR 200 COMM and GTX 23 ES mode S transponder. The G3X Touch has Synthetic Vision and video input for cameras or Enhanced Vision Systems.

CubCrafters also includes Garmins Angle-of-Attack (AOA) sensor and Sirius XM Satellite Radio weather and audio as standard equipment on the Executive GLASS touch panel. Executive GLASS touch is available as an option in CubCrafters ready-to-fly LSA aircraft for $24,990. Experimental Amateur Builders can purchase the panel for $27,990. Buyers may also upgrade the panel to include Garmins Dual-Axis Autopilot at $4,990, and Garmin GDL 39R ADS-B datalink at $2,100.
