The AltAlert personal cabin pressure monitor has been created to provide a new level of personal protection and peace of mind to pilots and passengers alike. Just Aircraft has announced plans to provide optional instructions and materials for installing spoilers on new SuperSTOL kits. The addition of spoilers significantly enhances slow flight control, especially in undesirable wind conditions. They represent the latest step in advancing the short takeoff and landing capabilities of the SuperSTOL.

FreeFlight Systems (freeflightsystems.com) announced that Hawker Beechcraft Services - Tampa has successfully integrated an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) compliant suite of FreeFlight avionics components that includes dual FDL-1090-TX Extended Squitter Transponders; a 1201 WAAS/GPS Receiver Unit and a FDL-978-RX Universal Access Transmitter that enables operators to display weather and traffic conditions to portable iPad devices for the King Air 200 aircraft. Nova Southeastern University has announced a new scholarship program for aviation students. The school has partnered with American Flyers, where NSU students get cockpit time as they learn how to fly. Through this one-of-a-kind program, American Flyers is providing 12 scholarships every 18 months at $73,000 per student -- that's nearly a $1 million every year and a half, which will be administered by NSU.
