Skycatcher Destruction
It seems mercifully quick but still a little sad. Cessna 162 Skycatchers never really caught on in a Light Sport market flooded with much sexier composite models from Europe for the same and even less money. Textron gave up on the project three years ago and began destroying the 80 unsold aircraft, minus some of their parts recently. The scrapped aircraft appear to still have their brand new Continental 0200 engines installed but Textron isn’t offering any details on the nature of the end of the Skycatcher.
