Air Journey Celebrates 25 Years

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla (Feb. 21, 2023) — This year marks 25 years since the launch of Air Journey, the world’s leader in escorted flying journeys where pilots can self-fly their airplanes to destinations around the globe.

As part of its 25^th anniversary year, AJ’s latest journey — Islands of the Indian Ocean and Beyond (May 24-July 22) — is a remarkable combination of breathtaking landscapes and cultures. This Air Journey blends the islands of the Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar with highlights of Europe and Africa, including gorilla trekking in Rwanda. This is one of many exciting pilot travel adventures slated for 2023.

What began in 1998 with an inaugural trip of four general aviation pilots flying their airplanes to the southern Caribbean islands of San Salvador, Stella Maris, and Andros, has grown to a company approaching $10 million in sales and air journey itineraries ranging from 4-76 days and visiting 1 to 27 countries.

In 2007, the company launched the first Around the World Journey at Sun 'n Fun and took off in 2008 for Eastbound Around the World. Milestone destinations to follow included Africa in 2011, Australia in 2017, and the Islands of the Indian Ocean in 2022. This year, 2023, marks another significant milestone for AJ — the first roundtrip circumnavigation of Australia and New Zealand via Europe in April.
