Women in Aviation International (WAI) has opened applications for its 2024 scholarships using a newly introduced online platform. This year, the organization is offering over 105 scholarships in areas including flight training, engineering, maintenance, dispatch, drones and professional development. The 2024 WAI scholarships, most of which will be awarded at the 35th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference next March, are collectively valued at more than $1,000,000.

“WAI proactively works to address our industry’s challenges, and one of those priorities is investing in our current and future global workforce,” said WAI Interim CEO Stephanie Kenyon. “The support of our annual scholarship program is one of the major benefits of being a WAI member, and we appreciate the generosity of our scholarship sponsors.”

Since 1995, WAI has awarded over $16.4 million in scholarship money to its members. Applications for the 2024 scholarships are open until Oct. 12, 2023. Applicants, who may apply for up to three scholarships per year, must be members of WAI by Oct. 1.
