If youre bored with the $100 hamburger, SocialFlight may have some inspirational options. At AirVenture in Oshkosh, SocialFlight is showing off version 4.0 of its application and website that connects pilots with like-minded interests. In addition to listing thousands of aviation-related events and shows and more than 100,000 places you can walk to from airports in the U.S., SocialFlight is introducing what it calls its Parade of Planes.

What weve done is, weve looked at whats happening in general aviation and weve established this one month when all the major manufacturers and some of the smaller ones are partnering with us to show where these aircraft are traveling around the United States and turning each of these stops into an event, says SocialFlights Jeff Simon. With that information readily available via the app and website, would-be buyers can come out to the airport to see new aircraft and perhaps get a demo flight.

Its a really great opportunity to say September is the Parade of Planes month and you hit one button and youll be able to see all these places where you can just go see it, Simon told AVweb in this exclusive AirVenture podcast.
