Besides the efficiency gains, the engine would reduce toxic emissions by up to 80 percent. The technology is based on the research and inventions of the late Carmelo Scuderi (1925-2002), an engineer who developed new technology used for recycling the refrigerant chemicals that deplete the ozone layer. The Scuderi Group plans to license the technology to qualified engine manufacturers.
