Key Takeaways:

The article features "AVweb's Picture of the Week" (POTW), a weekly contest where readers submit aviation-related photos for a chance to win an AVweb baseball cap.
It showcases a gallery of reader-submitted aviation photographs, each accompanied by details such as the title, photographer's name, location, and camera used.
The article actively encourages readers to submit their own aviation photos to be considered for the weekly contest and featured gallery.

Lakeside Ballooning

Grant McHerron of McKinnon, VC (Australia)

Photo taken at Lake Cullulleraine near Mildura in rural Victoria, Australia. I’d skipped on the afternoon flight due to work and missed the chance to do a “splash & dash” on the lake. D’oh!

Photo was taken with my Galaxy SIII with no post-editing at all. Not bad for a phone-cam. 🙂

You can see more of these pix at Flickr.
