Owners who equip their aircraft with Garmin’s G600 glass panel have been sometimes surprised to learn they still need to retain their old iron gyros to give the autopilot attitude pickoff information. Garmin has addressed this with a new product called the GAD43, which allows the G600’s digital attitude information to talk directly to autopilots.
