John W. Brown John W. Brown has been named president of Bye Energy Inc. Brown is founder of Sandia Capital Partners LLC.

Aspen Avionics was named Associate Member of the Year by the Aircraft Electronics Association. President John Uczekaj said he was “speechless” at the announcement.

Debbie Martin has been named sales manager for the Northwest by Signature Air Support. Martin has more than a decade of experience in the field and will be based in Washington State.

Rob Waterhouse is Satcom Direct’s new Director of Sales. He was formerly at ARINC, where he sold satellite technologies and services.

Tony Medniuk Tony Medniuk is retiring as Group CEO of Global Aerospace as of June 30. Nick Brown, currently Chief Underwriting Officer, will become CEO, subject to the normal regulatory approvals.

Chris Swan is the new vice president and general manager of StandardAero’s component services division in Cincinnati. Swan was previously with GE Aviation.

Duncan Dee Duncan Dee has been named chief operating officer of Air Canada, replacing Bill Bredt, who retired after 36 years with the company. Dee was formerly in charge of Air Canada’s airport operations.

Calin Rovinescu Calin Rovinescu was named Air Canada’s CEO, replacing Montie Brewer, who resigned. Rovinescu specializes in company rescues, and Air Canada is facing financial challenges.

Ian Bentley Ian Bentley, who’s been at Cirrus Aircraft since 1997, has been named Vice President and Managing Director of International Sales. Bentley has held various senior roles at Cirrus and been involved in many of its key development initiatives, including the Perspective avionics suite and flight into known icing capability.

Cara Tweyman has joined Precision Aero, of Mississauga, Ontario, in a newly-created sales and marketing position. Tweyman has 16 years of experience in the aircraft parts business.
