France-based Daher Group announced the completion of its acquisition of Quest Aircraft Company at the 2019 NBAA Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday. As previously reported by AVweb, the sale was announced last June. Quest, which manufactures the 10-seat Kodiak 100 single-engine turboprop, is headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho.

“Our acquisition of the Quest Aircraft Company is perfectly aligned with Daher’s strategy to intensify its business footprint in America,” said Daher CEO Didier Kayat. “In addition to adding the Kodiak to our aircraft portfolio, we have now gained a major competitive advantage for all of Daher’s aerospace business lines in North America.”

Calling the acquisition a “major milestone” in the growth of its North American operations, Daher says it can now “deploy its full range of activities in North America” including aircraft manufacturing, systems and equipment production, and supplying logistics and services. According to Daher, adding the Kodiak to its product line makes the company “the seventh-ranked general aviation airplane manufacturer worldwide.” Daher manufactures the single-engine TBM turboprop family.
