Metrix AV Launches Innovative Mobile Avionics and Maintenance Service
Avon-by-the-Sea, NJ – Metrix AV announces the launch of its new business which is specifically designed to help aircraft owners meet the FAA ADS-B mandate.
Based at Lakewood Airport (N12) in New Jersey, Metrix AV is fully mobile and is capable of retrofitting general aviation aircraft with the latest avionics and ADS-B instruments in the field, at client locations. This innovative installation method eliminates the logistic problems, downtime and expense associated with flying an aircraft to a distant avionics shop.
The general manager and one of the founders, Dan Zurich, said, “Even at this late date, there are a significant number of small airplanes that are not yet equipped with ADS-B to meet the January 1, 2020 deadline,” And, he continued, “Not only are they not going to be able to fly into controlled airspace but they are missing out on the enormous safety benefits that ADS-B brings into the cockpit right now.”
