Randy Groom Former Beechcraft President Randy Groom has formed his own aviation consulting company. He’s already been engaged by several aviation companies.

Aviation Research Group/U.S. Inc. (ARG/US) has acquired Avmosys, LLC and hired founders Scott Liston and Mike Midkiff to continue developing the business under ARG/US. Avmosys is developing aviation management systems.

Jason Liao Bombardier Aerospace has announced that Jason Liao is the new Business Aircraft Director of Sales for China. Liao has worked at Hawker Beechcraft, Boeing, Dee Howard Co. and Chengdu Aircraft Co. in a 26-year aviation career.

Randy Nelson, Hawker Beechcraft’s senior vice president of product development and engineering will retire Dec. 1. He will be replaced by Edward Petkus, the current vice president of new product development.

Benjamin Williams Nashville Jet Charter announced that Benjamin Williams is its new chief pilot. Williams is a retired Army colonel who flew various military helicopters and fixed wing aircraft in a 27-year career.

Jeremy Cunningham Jeremy Cunningham is the new Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Avidyne. He’s a former U.S. Navy aviation electronics technician and was most recently director of business development for AeroSolutions Group, Inc.

Ed Chevrestt BBA Aviation has named Ed Chevrestt as Vice President and General Manager for Executive Beechcraft. Chevrestt was formerly general manager of American Airlines’ maintenance base at Kansas City International Airport.

Shadin Avionics has announced that David Olson has been named Interim CEO of the company following the resignation of Allan Kramer Oct. 8. Olson has extensive management experience in the aerospace and defense industry in the U.S. and internationally.

Jennifer Mitchell Jennifer Mitchell, a Long Beach, Calif. imaging business owner, recently featured in a Mooney Airplane Corp. advertisement, has joined the company as a sales representative. Mitchell uses her Mooney Ovation 2GX to fly all over California on business.

Pat Waddick Pat Waddick has been promoted to executive vice president of operations for Cirrus Design. He was senior vice president of engineering since 2005.
