Boeing set a new company record for annual deliveries with 806 aircraft delivered in 2018. The company’s previous record was 763 deliveries, set last year. At 580 deliveries, 737s made up the biggest portion of Boeing aircraft delivered in 2018. Almost half of the 737 deliveries were new MAX aircraft. According to Boeing, the company has a seven-year backlog on 737 orders and has been producing as many as 52 aircraft a month.

Boeing reported that sales grew as well, with a total of 893 orders—203 of which came in December—for the year. “In addition to the ongoing demand for the 737 MAX, we saw strong sales for every one of our twin-aisle airplanes in a ringing endorsement of their market-leading performance and efficiency,” said Boeing Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales & Marketing Ihssane Mounir. “More broadly, another year of healthy jet orders continues to support our long-term forecast for robust global demand that will see the commercial airplane fleet double in 20 years.” The estimated value for Boeing’s 2018 orders is $143.7 billion.
