*** PREVIOUS RESULTS *** Last week, AVweb polled readers on the dangers of bird strikes. Most of you agreed that birds and wildlife in the airways are a serious problem, but opinions varied as to just how serious. A full 7% of our respondents reported firsthand experiences with bird strikes (or near-hits) and say the problem needs to be addressed soon. The bulk of those who participated in the survey (47%) say that they can only devote so much time to each potential hazard in the air – and birds will just have to get out of the way. Another 15% would like to see a bird report as part of their preflight briefing.
