Last week, TCM accounced their plans for a diesel engine and we asked AVweb readers if they’d consider flying a diesel.

Only a small percentage of those who answered (6%) gave us a flat-out no, saying that gasoline engines are far superior and the fuel issues will be worked out. At the other end of the spectrum, slightly more of you (13%) were ready to go diesel, saying, Sign me up as soon as it’s available for my plane. The largest single segment of readers (36%) gave the very reasonable answer that they will consider it seriously.
