Short Final: Passenger Guidelines

Gemini Sparkle

Key Takeaways:

  • Pilots should prevent passengers from eating messy foods like Cheetos to avoid difficult-to-remove stains if they become ill.
  • Even in a private aircraft, one can "lose" or forget luggage, leading to inconveniences like lacking appropriate attire for an important meeting.

The long list of passenger guidelines in GA from the May OTA brought two things to mind:

1. Never let your passengers eat Cheetos. If they get sick, you cannot get the stain out. I have personal experience with this when my kids were younger!

2. Even in a private aircraft, you can lose luggage. I flew my Cessna 340 to a meeting with Delta Air Lines and had to apologize at the start of the meeting that I did not have a coat and tie on because I left my hanging bag in my car!
