Key Takeaways:

  • A military F-18 jet was observed departing, utilizing the full runway length and passing a Sukhoi on the taxiway.
  • This full-runway departure was termed an "express lane" for high-performance aircraft capable of "Mach 1 and above."
  • In contrast, "smaller" non-jet aircraft were directed to depart from an intersection further down the runway, highlighting different operational procedures.

“Express lane…Mach 1 and above.”

A Sukhoi on the taxi way get’s passed up by an F-18 departing the runway. The “smaller” planes (read: not jets…I guess) were departing from an intersection further down the runway, but this military jet got to full use of the runway.
