Aerocor, an aircraft broker based in Los Angeles, has announced it is now offering a certified pre-owned option for the Eclipse 500 and 550 jets. Aircraft sold as “certified pre-owned” must have no damage history and will include fresh inspections along with first-year scheduled maintenance and operational support, the company says. Aerocor says each jet will be flight-tested, and will be delivered with all mandatory service bulletins, critical system updates, a 24-month inspection and all maintenance items due within the first 12 months or 300 flight hours of ownership completed. The program includes additional post-sale support, with type-rating training for one pilot and up to one year of scheduled maintenance included in the sale.
“We are very excited to bring this unique opportunity to the Eclipse market,” company co-founder Gavin Woodman said in a news release. “We designed Aerocor certified pre-owned to take the guesswork out of the [buying] process, delivering a vetted aircraft with predictable maintenance costs that is backed by a company dedicated to owner pilots.” One Aviation, the parent company of Eclipse, also offers “factory refurbished” used Eclipse SE jets, with a base price of about $2.2 million. Woodman told AVweb in an email that the price range for their certified jets depends on aircraft hours and the avionics package. “We currently have two certified pre-owned aircraft for sale, a third is already under contract,” he said.
