Pratt & Whitney Canada announced this week at AirVenture 2023 that it has now delivered over 400 PT6 E-Series engines. Since its launch in October 2019, the engine family has logged more than 100,000 flight hours worldwide. The latest in the company’s extensive line of PT6 engines, the E-Series powers the Pilatus PC-12 NGX and Daher TBM 960 single-engine turboprops.

Pratt & Whitney noted that the PT6 E-Series is the first engine family in the general aviation turboprop market to include a dual-channel integrated electronic propeller and engine control system. It also offers auto-start, full digital envelope protection and single-lever operation. In addition, Pratt & Whitney Canada is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the PT6 engine family, which has logged an estimated 500 million flight hours to date.
