Since its launch in October 2019, the engine family has logged more than 100,000 flight hours worldwide. The latest in the company’s extensive line of PT6 engines, the E-Series powers the Pilatus PC-12 NGX and Daher TBM 960 single-engine turboprops.

“The PT6 E-Series embodies our commitment to propelling innovation and enhancing our technology to deliver greater value to our customers and support their continued success,” said Nicholas Kanellias, Pratt & Whitney Canada vice president for general aviation. “With its optimal combination of precision, performance and efficiency, it offers an elevated flying experience and sets a new standard for general aviation, supported by comprehensive engine maintenance coverage through our premium maintenance plans.”

Pratt & Whitney noted that the PT6 E-Series is the first engine family in the general aviation turboprop market to include a dual-channel integrated electronic propeller and engine control system. It also offers auto-start, full digital envelope protection and single-lever operation. In addition, Pratt & Whitney Canada is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the PT6 engine family, which has logged an estimated 500 million flight hours to date.
