Textron has announced that Kriya Shortt will be taking over as the new president and CEO of the company’s eAviation division on Aug. 31, 2023. She succeeds Rob Scholl, who is moving to the role of president and CEO of Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. Scholl has headed Textron eAviation since the segment was launched in 2022 following Textron’s acquisition of Slovenia-based aircraft developer and manufacturer Pipistrel.

“Rob and Kriya have served as outstanding leaders at our respective businesses and I am confident they will continue to drive success in their new roles,” said Textron Chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly.

Shortt, who has been with Textron’s Aviation division for 27 years, most recently served as senior vice president for global parts and distribution for the segment. She has also held positions as senior vice president for customer service, senior vice president for sales and vice president for international sales. According to the company, the eAviation division is tasked with “taking the lead in Textron’s development of sustainably powered flight” by leveraging “product design, certification, manufacturing, and aftermarket solutions from across Textron’s businesses.”
