Flight planning and chart app FlightPro expects to be back online by Friday with updates for its subscribers after Avilution LLC obtained a court order to resume some operations in the midst of a legal dispute involving its shareholders. Avilution issued a statement (PDF) to AVweb Thursday, saying it plans to execute database updates and collect revenues for FlightPro “in the near term until a hearing can be held on broader topics.” Avilution does not have permission to spend the money or issue refunds, the company said, but has asked the court to allow it to “process refunds from the monies that we collect during this interim period.”
FlightPro launched about a year ago as an Android answer to iPad apps. Aspects of the legal disputes came to light after FlightPro missed its February database update for subscribers. Avilution has a lawsuit over its allegations by some of the company’s shareholders that others failed to perform work for the app that was promised, resulting in extra cost to some shareholders who hired third-party vendors to complete the work.
