It also adds integration with Lockheed Martin’s Flight Services system and geo-referenced approach charts and will continue to be enhanced with the features to match the iOS app. Hilton Software founder Hilton Goldstein said a universal account system will allow pilots to run WingX Pro7 on iOS and Android using a single account, as many of them have both iPads and Android cellphones.

“Hilton Software becomes the only major EFB company that believes in open standards that has addressed the highly popular Android market,” Goldstein said. “We love iPhone and iPad, but Android opens up an almost limitless number of phones, tablets, and phablets with varying screen sizes, capabilities, and price points.Even with all this variety, our engineering team has successfully maintained WingX Pro7’s easy-to-use look-and-feel; it’s like requiring a single type rating for different equipment.”
