This week, AVweb’s news roundup found reports on speakers for a flight simulation training conference, new avionics packages to be displayed at a fly-in and a business partnership for an aerospace solutions provider. Enthusiast flight simulation training conference FlightSimExpo has announced the speakers and schedule for its 2020 event. The lineup will feature presentations by Rod Machado, air traffic controllers, the United States Air Force, home cockpit builders, community leaders, an NTSB investigator and 10 exhibitors. FlightSimExpo 2020 will take place at Nevada’s Tropicana Las Vegas Conference Center on June 12-14 and includes seminars, exhibits and how-to presentations.

Kansas-based general aviation engine and avionics upgrade company Air Plains Services will be featuring its line of Cessna engine upgrade STCs and newest avionics packages at the AOPA Fly-In in San Marcos, Texas. The company will be exhibiting two of its upgraded aircraft at the event, which is scheduled for May 29-30. Also on the show circuit, aerospace solutions provider DAES Group announced that it is entering a partnership with engine and engine component turnkey test solutions supplier MDS Aero. The agreement was signed at the Singapore Airshow last month.
