Cessna’s big news this week at EAA AirVenture is the new diesel version of the Skyhawk, but the company also announced new upgrades for the TTx, new interior options for the Stationair, and first flight of the CJ3+ business jet. Cessna’s top-of-the-line single-engine TTx, formerly known as the Corvalis, will now be offered with a new premium package with upgrades for both the interior and exterior. The package includes a special paint scheme, two-tone leather seat covers, a custom-fit canopy cover, and personalized floor and wing-walk mats. The TTx also will now come with a McCauley Blackmac C447 aluminum propeller as standard equipment. For the 206 Stationair, a new versatile seating option will be offered that offers up to five different seating configurations for two to four passengers.
The standard seating in the 206 is two rows of forward-facing seats, two in each row. The new option will enable owners to switch to a four-seat club configuration or just two seats. The package will include new leather covers for the cockpit seats, four new middle and aft row seats similar to luxury car seats, and other cabin upgrades. Cessna also said this week it has completed a successful first flight of the first production unit of the CJ3+ jet. The new upgrade features a redesigned cabin, a lower cabin altitude, and upgrades in the cockpit, including Garmin G3000 avionics. FAA certification and first deliveries are expected by the end of the year.
